For regular seasons, a typical class runs about one hour, once a week for 4-10 weeks. For Winter, Spring, or Summer weekly camps, a class will be 2 to 3-hour long for five consecutive days in a week. Guest speakers may be invited from time to time as well to present the Q&A session.
In every class, the children will wear a laboratory coat or apron (NOT done currently due to the COVID-19 situation) and gloves in the laboratory. Goggles and masks will be used as needed. Laboratory rules and in-person safety guidelines that they have to follow will be instructed. Afterward, brief lectures/instructions, fun, and hands-on activities will follow. As a class policy, the children are expected to clean their bench area as part of good laboratory practices.
Depending on what topic we teach in the class, the children can bring the live organisms home with their parent’s permission.
Yes, we do. We do birthday parties on weeknights or weekends either online or in-person format. The detailed information will be on our Parties page.
